Joint Diversity Scholarship - 2017
Program Agenda: The Overwaitea Food Group is proud to have partnered with UFCW Local 1518 to establish a Joint Diversity and Training Trust to support and maintain a respectful and positive working environment. Our goal is to work collaboratively to promote diversity awareness and build strong, healthy and mutually beneficial relationships within the diverse communities that we serve.
Criteria for Application: The Joint Diversity and Training Trust is offering 10 scholarships valued at $1,000 each to individuals who have played a significant role in diversity initiatives in their school and/or community.

The UFCW & OFG Joint Diversity Scholarship is open to residents of British Columbia who are pursuing a part-time or full-time post-secondary program in BC. Applicants can be in any stage of their post-secondary education. To be eligible, applicants must be BC residents and must be registered to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in BC in the fall of 2017. Please note that because of other scholarship opportunities uniquely available to OFG team members and their dependants, members of this group are excluded from eligibility.

In the application process, applicants are asked to describe their career goals and objectives as well as their involvement with activities that promote diversity awareness and acceptance in their school and/or community.
