UBC Entrance Award The UBC Entrance Award program assists students in transition from secondary school to university. The purpose of these awards is to support academically qualified students who show an interest in joining the UBC community, but who would not otherwise be able to attend without significant financial assistance.

This program offers entering students one-time awards and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years.

The Entrance award is separate from the Major Entrance Scholarships. Students are eligible to apply for both awards, provided they meet the criteria.

Am I eligible? 

A $5,000 Black Press Business Scholarship is available to high school, transfer and continuing students from 37 BC communities entering the University of Victoria Gustavson School of Business in September 2014. Awards will be based on academic merit, leadership and a demonstrated desire to make a positive difference in the world. To be eligible, students must have applied to the BCom program and have submitted all scholarship documents by mail or in person to UVic.

The MADD Canada Bursary Fund is for Canadian students who have had an immediate family member (mother, father, legal guardian, or sibling) killed in an impaired-driving related crash and are pursuing any full time education program that is approved by a provincial Ministry of Education. Bursaries of up to $2,000 can be awarded to qualifying students across Canada.

This year RBC is offering a total of 15 RBC Students Leading Change Scholarships worth $10,000 each. There will be 5 scholarships awarded in each of the following 3 student categories: Graduating High School Students, Undergraduate Students, and Second Degree Students.

RBC is proud to partner with the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) to offer a post-secondary scholarship program for children and legal wards of RBC employees, incorporating existing scholarship programs offered by some businesses within the group. 

Approximately 100 students will be awarded a scholarship of $2,500. The scholarship program was created to assist young adults to further their education at the university or college level. Scholarships are awarded based on student's academic record, extracurricular activities, letters of reference and one page essay dealing with career goals.

Purpose of Scholarships
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.

Scholarship Criteria
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted.

Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:

When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?  What people, things and accomplishments do you need?
