GRASSWICK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP</u></strong><br />This scholarship has been established by Mrs. Sheelah Grasswick&rsquo;s family in recognition of her lifelong interest in education and the community. Mrs. Grasswick served as a Delta School District Trustee from November 1989 until her death in September 1998.<br />Details of the scholarship are as follows:<br />&bull; Awarded annually in the amount of $1500.00.<br />&bull; Available to all graduating students in School District #37, Delta, who plan to enroll in a full time post secondary program leading to a degree.<br />&bull; Awarded to a student who has proven scholastic ability and has shown interest and commitment to their community.<br />&bull; The scholarship can be held for 15 months following graduation from grade 12.<br />The candidate must provide the following:<br />1. Cover letter explaining why you are a good candidate for this award.<br />2. Reference letter from a teacher or school administrator.<br />3. Summary of your Activities and Accomplishments.<br />4. Please include your Social Insurance Number (SIN)<br /><br /><br /><strong><u>KEN SOTVEDT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP</u></strong><br />This scholarship has been established by Mr. Ken Sotvedt&rsquo;s family in recognition of his life long passion and interest in education, music and the community<br />Details of the scholarship are as follows:<br />&bull; Awarded annually in the amount of $500.00<br />&bull; Available to all graduating students in School District #37, Delta, who have the intent on pursuing a career in music<br />&bull; Awarded to a student who possesses strong musical ability and interest<br />&bull; The scholarship can be held for 15 months following graduation from grade 12<br />The candidate must provide the following:<br />1. Cover letter explaining why you are a good candidate for this award.<br />2. Reference letter from a teacher or school administrator.<br />3. Summary of your Activities and Accomplishments.<br />4. Please include your Social Insurance Number (SIN)<br /><br />&#8203;<br /><strong><u>The Margaret and Les Callan Fund </u></strong><br />Awarded in the amount of $966.00<br />Eligibility criteria:&nbsp;<br />&bull; A Grade 12 student intending to study and take training in visual arts at a<br />recognized post-secondary institution.<br />&bull; Must have volunteered or provided service within the community of Delta.<br />&bull; Evidence of some financial need.<br />&bull; The recipient has up to one year to choose the institution.&nbsp;<br />Scholarship offered to a student to take post-secondary training in the visual arts.<br />The candidate must provide the following:<br />1. Cover letter, explaining why you are a good candidate for this award;<br />2. Reference letter from a teacher or school administrator;<br />3. Summary of your Activities and Accomplishments;<br />4. Please include your Social Insurance Number (SIN)<br />&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong><u>DELTA RETIRED TEACHERS&rsquo; ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP 2026</u></strong><br />The Delta Retired Teachers&rsquo; Association is pleased to offer two Scholarships of $1,800 to two qualifying graduating Grade 12 students from the seven secondary schools in Delta<br />Eligibility Criteria:<br />The successful applicant will meet these criteria:<br />1. Must be preparing for a career in Education (teaching or related field).<br />2. Graduate with a &lsquo;B&rsquo; average in Grade 11 and 12 courses from a Delta secondary school with a minimum &rsquo;C+&rsquo;&nbsp; in English 11 and 12<br />3. Must have been enrolled full&#8208;time in Delta School District #37 for grades 10, 11 and 12.<br />4. Must have both volunteered and provided leadership within the community and their school in Grades 11 and 12.&nbsp; See the Scholarship Selection Guidelines attached.<br />5. Must submit proof of attendance at a post secondary institution to receive this scholarship.<br />Scholarship Submission:<br />Students will submit completed application documents. They must include:<br />1. Student Information document.<br />2. Summary of your activities and accomplishments. (use included template)<br />3.
