UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Criteria:
The selection of National Scholars is based on superior academic performance, original and creative
thought, and exceptional extra-curricular achievement in a broad context. The National Scholarship
competition is open to all interested Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons in their final year of secondary school. Book Award nominees, as well as students who identify themselves as meeting the scholarship criteria, are invited to apply for the National Scholarship. If a student plans on taking a gap year, they may apply to the National Scholarship (and for university admission) during their final year of secondary school and then request an admission deferral. Students currently on a gap year are not eligible to apply.
Award Value:
The 2023 University of Toronto National Scholarship covers tuition, incidental and residence fees for up
to four years of undergraduate study at the University of Toronto.
Student Application Process:
The link to the National Scholarship application, as well as additional information, is
available from our website at https://future.utoronto.ca/national-scholarship/.
The deadline for students to submit a National Scholarship application is   Thursday, October 20, 2022

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO BOOK AWARD
The University of Toronto National Book Award Program recognizes and rewards the very best Canadian secondary school students, regardless of which university those students choose to attend. These are students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context. They excel in academic pursuits, demonstrate enthusiasm for intellectual exploration and have a strong involvement in the lives of their schools and communities. It is not necessary that the student intend to apply for admission to the University of Toronto. Award recipients receive a National Book Award recognizing their achievements, and as a symbol of their academic potential. It is a non-monetary award. Students nominated for this award are invited to submit an application to the U of T National Scholarship Program.

If you would like to be nominated for the Book Award, I will n
eed to have your “BRAG Sheet” completed and submitted to me by October 5th. You will find in your CLC google classroom the BRAG Sheet or you can pick up a paper copy in the Career Centre.
