Scholastic DistinctionThe Scholastic Distinction Scholarship Program recognizes the top academic students from across Canada and around the world. The Scholastic Distinction Scholarships for entrance students are among the most valuable and prestigious undergraduate scholarships awarded by the University of Alberta. Scholastic Distinction Scholarships for transfer students and continuing students are also awarded.

• Value: up to $50,000
• Application Open: October 1, 2016
• Closing Deadline: December 15, 2016
• Approximately 60 scholarships are available

How to Apply for Scholarships and AwardsEligibilityCandidates must:

• apply to an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta
• be entering an undergraduate degree program from high school at the University of Alberta in September 2017
• complete the online award application on Bear Tracks
• have an admission average of ~95% or above to be considered competitive 

NotificationWe will notify all applicants of the competition results in March. 
Scholarship funds for successful applicants will be applied to your student account upon confirmation of full-time registration at the U of A in September 2017.
