Description:Simon Fraser University (SFU) is very pleased to announce the availability of a series of SFU Surrey Close to Home Entrance Awards, to Canadian students entering SFU from a high school in British Columbia. The goals of the SFU Surrey Entrance Award are to attract well-qualified students to the University, to further develop SFU’s relationships with BC high schools, and to promote awareness of the programs and degrees at the Surrey campus.
Careful consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to their school and wider community, who exhibit leadership, and who show an academic interest in programs offered at the Surrey campus. Preference will be given to those residing in locations south of the Fraser River.
To be eligible, regular secondary school applicants must have a minimum admissions average of 80% for the Faculty they have applied to (not rounded up) and IB diploma applicants must have the IB diploma score required for admission.
Entrance Award and Bursary Applicants coming from a BC/Yukon regular secondary school must self-report their grades by the deadline date.
